Okay, so most of you are asking why I havent posted since the last Blues game(s)! well... its a little thing called, SBC

Since when did being 1 day late on payment turn your DSL and Phone off? I guess I can blame it on my old man who is paying the bill but I really blame it on the 3rd party payment service (mycheck.com)

So, for all of you internet buffs ... get rid of SBC Yahoo DSL and get Charter High Speed Internet. With Charter I get phone, tv, and h.s. internet for $50/month whereas SBC was charging me $50 for DSL (since no contract for the $14/month). BTW, it was slow as hell!

Anyway. . . for now I have only internet at UMSL so you will not get the Blues Opinions

I still think we need Lalime to quit doin the ABBA Dancin Queen in our net!

Hats off to Jason Spezza who had the most impressive goal this season (a one on three in oT, deeked the defense and the goalie) watch it here.

How about Brett Hull retiring 5 games into the season? Brett Hull playing 744 games for the Blues. 527 of his 741 goals came wearing the BlueNote! With this in mind... true Blues fans... we cannot booo him when we retire his #16 ! I know he spoke his mind but if you really think about it... he saved the Blues from moving to Saskatoon!

My Hard Hat Award goes to #21 Jamal Mayers! Scoring the only Blues goal!

As for Lalime... (Matt and Kim)... he has to go! Maybe its the new pads but what I don't understand is with all of our goalies in our system... why not bring up Sanford or Bacashihua? They are going to remain "Undeveloped" (Larry Pleau) without at least trying to play in the league.. Why not give them a shot! We are 1-4 on the season thusfar! The Pred's game winning goal came on an odd man rush due to Andy Roach pinchin in at the wrong time ... I admit but Lalime was in position to make the save! Also, how about that late 2nd period goal giving the Preds the 2 goal lead... that shoulda been stopped!

HOLY SHIT! The Blues won! WoW! What a game! Going into the game as the only team in the NHL that did not have a point.

My Hard Hat Award goes to Jay Mcclement! His first NHL Goal came on the penalty shot against Nikolai Khabibulin! Not only that but he had an assist and he played excellent on the penalty kill!

One might ask why I didn't give Patrick Lalime the Hard Hat.... well he still has a lot to prove. He played one hell of a game tonight and if he plays like this all season he will be the goalie the Blues have been missing for the past several years.

The rookie with the best overall chance of staying in St. Louis will be Jeff Hogan! He has speed and determination. At times he is not in the right spot but this is being worked on. Trent Whitfield has played pretty well this season too! He seems to jump in and make plays happen. Kitchen doesn't play him enough. So far Aaron Downey has not impressed me but he, like Whitfield has been played sparingly.

I don't have much to say except when your team scores 6 goals, they should win...

My Hard Hat Award goes to Jeff Hogan who scored his first NHL Goal and also really threw his weight around.... This guy is unbelieveable! He looks like Tyson Nash when Nash started.

My BoneHead Award of the night goes to Patrick Lalime! This guy is making Roman Turek look like a goalie god! Hell if it was my choice, I'd take Roman back in a heartbeat when compared to Lalime! (BTW, I cannot stand Roman Turek) Where is Mike Liut when you need him...?
As for Lalime... he must either get his "Head out of his Ass" or he has to go! The Blues have goalies in the system and they look more developed than this guy... (Pleau)

Blues vs Wings Home Opener

Okay so its just the beginning of the season but I hate the fact that we are 0-2-0 already on the season. I missed game one on Wednesday because of class and yet it seemed like I didnt miss much. What I liked tonight.... our play in the third period. Wow! I guess it helps with Momentum shifting your way. Two things... Brewer needs to get his HEAD out of his ASS. He had 2 chances to make the break-out pass and did not realize it at all...

My Hard Hat Award goes to Andy Roach. Yeah he scored his first NHL Goal... but the reason why i gave him the award was because of his play tonight. He passed well.. pinched in at the right times and just looked solid out there.

By the way, Whats up with Savvis playing Country music now? I was alright with them playing Nelly but now they've crossed the line!

Blues 2, Blackhawks 1 Preseason

Okay, so yes its just preseason but hey... its the last preseason game. I must say this team is going to be more suprising than disappointing. I was impressed by just about everyone except Bryce Salvador and Petr Cajanek. I think they just happened to have a bad game and that happens!

My Hard Hat Award goes to NUMBER 7, Keith Ka-Chuck! Wow! Its just preseason and he is playing like its playoffs! Those Krispy Kreme's looked to just add his size and not drop his stride. Maybe he just didnt want to play during training camp...

My Tough Man Award goes to NUMBER 28, Matt Walker. IF he can stay healthy... He will be a force. Yes he fought twice and pretty much won both but he made a few awesome passes.

my First preseason game Stars 3 Blues 1

Okay, so I hate playing the stars but not as much as the red wings! I must say the game looked slower than ever. Maybe its the players getting use to the new changes. I just have to say .. to the fans who are screaming "SAME OLD BLUES" behind me... DUDES, its the PRESEASON which means we are like trying on a new pair of panties for the first time.. we are picking out our players. So we lost to the stars, whoopdeedoo! Its preseason, I couldn't tell you in all of my preseason games how many we won/lost/tied although I can tell you one thing... I usually never get those $9.00 beers until the regular season (Thanks Chris)

My hard hat award goes to Jeff Woywitka! He played his heart out but at times was not smart with the puck. That can be developed pretty quick with those nice skills. I believe Andy Roach is going to be our next Jackman. Speaking of Jackman.. Both him and Weight are out with shoulder injuries. Excellent!

I must say I was impressed with our abilities to win faceoffs! Mayers, Johnson, Mcammond, and company did very well!

Season Ticket Holder Party

Okay, so today I was the lucky one who got to meet and sound off to Lerrry BLough (larry pleau) GM of the St. Louis Blues! I asked him why Jason Bacashihua has not replaced Reinhard Divis as back-up and he told me that Jason is not developed yet... ? Like so, when the hell do you know when the goalie is ready? I mean, c'mon, this guy picked Roman Turek of all goalies and look where he is now! Some guy walked up and got an autograph while I was talking to Larry and said "Hate to see Pronger go" and Larry looked at him and said something to the effect its the economics of the game now.... okay sure! I mentioned that I thought he got a good deal for Prongs though! EVEN though "Eric Brewer may not put a full effort in" PanamaJackass, hes younger and can work with Jackman and even HOF Mac!

BTW, I managed to eat 2 jumbo hot dogs, 2 popcorns, 2 large sodas, and cotton candy! I am going to be a boat for the next few weeks!

The Blues have already made a mistake....
Divis has had a shitty camp! They need to move this goalie Jason Bacashihua to the backup role! He had one HELL of a camp! But, they already shipped him to Peoria (AHL) late Tuesday.

We are screwed if we go into the shootout of OT! Lalime cannot stop (of all players) Mayers!

Divis looks like crap! I say our backup should be Sanford or Beckford-Tseu! Dougie Weight shined as Jamal Mayers took penalties! Great turn-out... IceZone was so packed many had to stand in the mall and watch. If this is any sign of the fans returning... They'll sell-out!

Season Ticket Joke

As most of you know, I have season tickets.... Well, look at this ticket ... yeah I took out the bar code and seat number so it can only be used by whoever I give it to... Below is the tickets from the 2003-2004 season

Since when did we go El-Cheapo and decide to print out the tickets themselves? I guess we could imagine something like this would happen since the team is up for sale. Cut costs at every possible corner.

By the way, I have to give away those pre-season tickets above. Theres 2, leave me a message if you want them! (I have class that night)

Goalie Clinic

So for the first few days of the Blues training camp, its a Goalie Clinic. I think they were missing Divis. They had Curtis Sanford (my favorite), Jason Bacashihua, Chris Beckford-Tseu, and Patrick Lalime. Only a few forwards came out along with Barrett Jackman, Bryce Salvador, Matt Walker, and a few others. Every year I pull for Sanford but every year he looks like hell in training camp. Lalime is a little slow moving behind the net and doesn't control the puck very well but overall he will be our #1.

My pick before training camp goes to Petr Sejna! I think this guy is going to not only make the team but be an impact player on the Blues roster.

On defense, Andy Roach is almost a sure to make the team. He played very well in the World Cup. Without Prongs, I think we are still loaded on Defense. We will only miss that long breakout pass from Prongs along with his size. That pass is a key weapon this year with the new rule changes (no 2-line pass).

I should have updates later on this week after my training camp visits!

Welcome back to the Blues Scotty!

Scott Young, Welcome back! Scotty's best season in the NHL came in the 2000-01 campaign! Registering 40 goals and 33 helpers with the Blues. I must say he quickly became one of my favorites. I had him on my fantasy team that year. He was quick to help me win my first ever fantasy hockey challenge. Scotty starts the 2005-06 season with 1102 games played, 324 goals, 383 helpers, 707 points and cups with the avs and pens! Go Scotty, Beam us up!
